According to Genesis 21:16 in the Bible "Let me not look on the death of the child." April 7, 1989 saw the founding of Royal Academy by the late Kamkhanthang Ngaihte. He was an insatiable learner who felt compassion for children who couldn't afford quality care and education.
With 85 kids enrolled in classes Nursery through VII, the school began as a modest thatched roof house (tuition fees were minimal and 12 pupils were redeemed from initial tuition payment). Raising, educating, shaping, and preparing pupils for securing their livelihood is its aim. In 1996, the school received recognition from the Board of Secondary Education Manipur, thanks to divine direction.
As Royal Academy ages, it experiences ups and downs, but by God's grace, it always has amazing students who care about, love, and are proud of their school. It is also endowed with wonderful teachers who act much like parents for the students at the academy. It continues to this day to uphold its mission and values and to always hope for a brighter tomorrow.
In 1996, Royal Academy became a member of the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur, and was registered under the society ABC Ministries. The Royal Academy governing board is in charge of the school.
